About this swap
BTC → ETH is the most common cross-chain swap on the platform. Bitcoin’s slow finality is the bottleneck — most of the wait is the BTC deposit confirming on the source chain. Once it does, the ETH leg settles in seconds.
Routing aggregates rates from both centralized order books and DEX liquidity pools. The widget shows the best net rate after fees before you commit, and you can lock it with a fixed-rate quote for a small extra spread.
BTC → ETH FAQ
Why does BTC → ETH take longer than ETH → SOL?
Bitcoin requires more on-chain confirmations than newer chains. Routes typically wait for 1–2 BTC confirmations on the deposit (≈10–20 minutes) before executing the trade.
What ETH address should I provide?
Any standard EVM address (0x…). The widget validates it before accepting. If you have a Layer-2 wallet (Arbitrum, Optimism), pick the chain explicitly in the asset selector.
Can I lock the rate?
Yes. Fixed-rate quotes are available at quote time for a small extra spread that covers the rate-lock window. Useful when BTC is moving sharply and you want certainty on the ETH amount you’ll receive.
